Brynnah's new dress

So everyone totally needs to be totally proud of me....this is my first actually sewing experience with clothing anyway! I think it turned out really pretty and I LOVE the colors I still have to make a bow to match it then I'll put a picture of Brynnah in the dress on her so you can get the full effect!! Enjoy!

Update

So we went to Salt Lake on Wednesday and Thursday and had a renal appointment, sweat chloride test to see if she had CF (cycstic fibrosis). We also had to go to CT to see if her GJ tube (feeding tube) was in place. We found out actually surprisingly good news. Her feeding tube is in very good placement so we won't have to do anything with that. Her CF test came back normal so that is a HUGE relief! And now the bummer side of our good news....We went to see the Kidney specialist and they didn't really do anything...they put her on a new medication and she did grow 2 inches since june which is great!!!!! She is 22 lbs so that is also terriffic!! But they didn't want to put her offically on the transplant list they said she is doing too well for right now. Her kidney function did go up a little bit so now her function is at 20%. So it's good but it's keeping her off the list. When I asked if we were still trying to do a transplant before she needs dialysis....The doc's exact words were...."well dialysis wouldn't be that bad if she ends up haveing to do that first." and when I asked about when she would be put on the list he said "sometime in the fall-ish" Gotta love doc's right. We are going to get a second opinion from another doc in the same clinic we just like him better and would like to actually switch to his care but for now were just going to do a follow up and find out what he would do in Brynnah's case if anything different at all. Another peice of good news is that We are going to make an appointment to see the Genetics doc next week who knows when we'll actually be seen but it's another good step I guess. Brynnah is still getting better with her animal sounds and says like 5 more sounds! It's crazy how fast she's picking things up....she is soooo AMAZING!!

Update

I just thought I'd let everyone know that we went to Brynnah's appointment in Idaho falls with the orthopedic surgeon. Everything went fabulously well!! I talked to Brynnah's Physical Therapist and she got me really nervous saying that "Brynnah will probably need new higher braces (for her feet) and that she'll probably need surgery to pin her hips in place" To our surprise the doc said that her feet just need to strengthen and the braces she has are just right and concerning her hips...he didn't want to do anything yet. They don't look "good" but he said now that she's more weight bearing on her legs that hopefully that will help. So we just need to go back in 6 months and have her rechecked and get some more x-rays! Hurray!!!! I was so0oooo excited! So one appointment down with good news and one to go. We have an appointment with the kidney specialist and we're hopeing that one will go just as well! I just love my little girl so much. She is a tremendous blessing in our lives! I love her sassy little attitude and how smart she is! She is the most BEAUTIFUL little girl ever!!!!

Brynnah's animal sounds

We are so proud of Brynnah and her progress especially in Language! Here's a fun little clip that shows what animal sounds Brynnah can say!

Brynnah's first steps

So here are some recent pictures of Brynnah as promised! This first one was taken at Grandma Caywood's ....I was sooo excited because her hair can mostly go into full pigtails!! This picture was taken about a week ago at Bear Lake....She had so much fun playing and splashing in the water!
This one was taken in June right after we got home from the hospital...she was soooo excited about her balloon I thought it was adorable!!

So I totally had to post today because the day before yesterday Brynnah finally took her first steps!!! Go Brynnah!! We are so excited to see her taking these huge leaps in her development!

We're still here

Hey everyone we're still here!!! I haven't blogged in FOREVER!! I haven't wanted to get on the Internet because I hadn't read the new Stephanie Meyer book BREAKING DAWN and I didn't want anything to ruin it....then I got sick 2 times the week I was bound and determined that I was going to finish the book. Now I can proudly say that I met my goal and finished the book(like a week ago) It was really good...I still have to say my favorite book is the 3rd one!! Enough about Stephanie Meyer for now I guess. Let's see we have been in Montpelier a lot (i know pretty lame) But I probably have mentioned before that Ryan's parents are doing an addition onto their home. So we've decided to work off our DEBT to them by putting work into the house so we usually go every other week to help get stuff done. This last week we finished the basement bedroom. We painted and Ryan put up all the molding. It looks so great. I just spent time cleaning out the house which was a couple days in it's self!! We had a good time and Brynnah certainly did she absolutely adores her Grandpa! The fair was also going on while we were there so of course we had to go and get some doughnuts....they are the best ever! Brynnah had such a good time seeing all the animals. We also went to the horse pulls and Brynnah was saying "Horse, Horse" every time they'd bring the horses up to the gate!! It amazes me that every time we go to Montpelier I really don't recognize ANYONE! I just think it's crazy! Anyhow I guess on to Brynnah. She's doing fairly well considering her kidney function is only at 10%. She's not on dialysis yet so that still a good thing. We do have an appointment with the kidney specialist on the 27th of this month so hopefully she can "officially" be put on the kidney transplant list!!! She is also being tested for CF (cystic fibrosis) that day so hopefully we'll know something more either way. She has an appointment to see the orthopedic surgeon next Friday so hopefully her hips are doing better and surgery is out of the question (she has hip displasia) and I don't ever put her brace on ....I know bad mom right? But I figure she's gotten so much better at standing and cruising around ....I don't know? I'm also going to ask him about her feet braces...she needs to get new ones probably next month but these ones don't seem like they are doing much good. She's been wearing them for 7 months and when we take them off she still walks on her ankles...we'll see I guess. Other than that all her therapies are going Fabulously!! She is really taking off in language!! She has like a 15 word vocabulary now!!!!! She just learned what a sheep says so we're pretty excited!! I just love her little voice it's so adorable! Ryan and I just sit at home quizzing her just to hear her voice...we're lucky she likes her own voice just as much as we do. Well I probably won't be writing again until after her appointments and hopefully I can post some pictures next time...Brynnah is getting so unbelievably big! She is up to like 23 lbs but she is still not growing tall! I can't believe she's going to be 2 soon...October 9th!! I'm going CRAZY trying to get everything ready for not only that but for Christmas as well. That's what I get for deciding to do everything homemade right? Anyhow, I will be posting again in a couple weeks. Also we really appreciate all of you that are thinking of us and praying for us! It's DEFINITELY working!!! We love you all!

Memory Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on you blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
